TThe centre carries out central planning activities for academic programmes including staff development need analysis, short course planning and dissemination, maintenance of training data, coordination with the ITEC Division for Overseas training programmes, and preparation of proposals for Institute developmental projects. The centre also provide necessary assistance for preparation of documents for MoU with MHRD and report generation for MHRD / Annual Report. The centre develops new curricula for diploma programmes and also revise the existing curricula at regular intervals.
The centre offers training programmes in the core areas of Curriculum development and evaluation, Industry Institute partnership, Professional development of faculty and in peripheral areas like Textiles technology, Printing technology and Nano technology. It also offers Overseas participant programme on ‘Advanced Certificate Course in Curriculum Design and Instructional Material Development’.
