8.4.16. Controlling: Institutional Evaluation for Continuous
Improvement
The emphasis of this unit is on the evaluation of institutional performance in terms of its
projects, programmes and services. Why institutional evaluation is needed is the main
feature. The concept of academic audit as a tool for institutional evaluation, its focal areas,
and process of academic auditing are the main features on which the participants shall be
oriented through this unit.
