This Extension Centre started its activities in the year 1977-78 with prime emphasis on Curriculum Development for Technical Education of (United) Andhra Pradesh including present Telangana State. It is maintaining close contact with the Department of Technical Education of Telangana State and other managers of Technical Education including Principals of Polytechnics, Engineering Colleges and other persons and bodies closely connected with Technical Education in the state. It is maintaining liaison in the state for the Faculty Development Programme and other Training Activities of NITTTR Chennai. This Extension Centre is conducting Tailor Made Faculty Development Programs in different areas of Technical Education and for Industries. Project Works had also taken to enhance the Quality of Technical Education system in the State. |
Faculty Development Programs for Polytechnic/ Engineering Colleges Faculty Members are planned yearly and conducted. This Centre do liaison with the Commissioner of Technical Education and the Secretary of State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET-TS) Telangana State with NITTTR Chennai for efficient system. We also do academic consultancy for State Board Technical Education and Training (SBTET) of Telangana State in form of curriculum revision and special refresher courses etc., as per the requirements. |

Fully equipped with all the FOSS with 30 workstations. The workstations are connected to the LAN. Among the 30 work stations 10 of them with Linux Operating systems and remaining with Windows Operating System. The LAN consisting of the server which is installed with MOODLE LMS to provide training in the classroom practice. |
Our Department is maintaining the campus networking, servers and desktops of entire campus. Our department is fully equipped with hardware and software trouble shooting tools. In addition, we have specialized software called Network Management System and accessories for Network trouble shooting. |
